Meierotto Moments: Tony and Alex
Tony and Alex were taking their time looking for engagement rings in Kansas City, very deliberating searching for something that really stood out as remarkable. They had visited numerous jewelers a handful of times without any luck. Alex was starting to worry she would never find her perfect ring. Through a recommendation from a friend, luckily, they visited Meierotto Jewelers to see our selection.
As they browsed engagement rings at Meierotto Jewelers, our sales associate Margaret, observed how Alex was responding to rings. She began asking specific questions on what Alex liked and disliked about each ring. Next, they went piece by piece and narrowed down options for the band, the halo and the diamond. In this moment, Alex felt like she finally had permission to design her own unique and custom ring, something she never realized she wanted. Together, they designed and finalized the perfect engagement ring of her dreams.
“The customer service was just incredible. Margaret is so knowledgeable, I felt she let the rings speak for themselves and made them the focus. She lightly guided me to help me find what I wanted without inserting herself and influencing any of the design decisions,” Alex shared.
We are so happy that Alex and Tony chose us as their wedding jeweler and were able to find a custom ring for Alex that she is completely obsessed with. “It is beyond special to me that I can proudly say, “Thanks! I designed it!” every time I get a compliment on my ring,” Alex shared.
Time to Propose
About a year after designing the ring, Tony found the most perfect way to finally ask Alex to be his bride. As season ticket holders for the Kansas City Chiefs, football season has always been a major part of their lives. They spend every game with friends and family they love and have collected so many memories and experiences traveling to see the Chiefs play. Tony would say that Arrowhead Stadium is where they fell in love, and he knew he wanted to propose at a game.
Their group has a tradition to take a photo in front of Arrowhead Stadium before every game. And as they joined together, Tony got to one knee. It was a magical moment of love. And while she knew the proposal was in the horizon, Alex was completely caught by surprise.
Tony and Alex are planning a Spring 2023 wedding in Kansas City and are enjoying this next season of their lives. In their spare time, they enjoy traveling, boating and of course cheering on Kansas City Chiefs. They live in Liberty, MO with their two dogs, Coco Chanel and Bella.
From all of us at Meierotto Jewelers, we wish Tony and Alex a lifetime of happiness. Cheers!
